Meet Dr. Childs
A Bit About Him
A native of the Salt Lake Valley, Dr. Childs was proud to return home after more than a decade on the East Coast. He has now been practicing in Utah since 2022. He’s married and the proud father of three young daughters. When he’s not in the OR, you’ll find him running mountain trails, competing in ultramarathons, hiking with his family, or tackling his latest DIY home project.
Dr. Brandon Childs is a board-certified urologist with specialized training in advanced endourology and laser procedures, including Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP). He completed his urology residency at the prestigious Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts—a nationally recognized center of excellence for HoLEP and minimally invasive urologic surgery. During his time at Lahey and affiliated sites like Beth Israel, Dr. Childs gained extensive hands-on experience in complex stone disease, laser enucleation, and endoscopic treatments.
His clinical expertise spans:
• HoLEP
• Ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy for kidney stones
• ClearPetra suction sheath technology for maximal stone clearance
• Men’s health, testosterone therapy, and vasectomy
